About ACondor
Built by a trader who learned the hard way.
No guarantees, please read
ACondor is a software tool. It automates a defined options trading strategy. I make no guarantee of profitability, positive returns, or any specific financial outcome from using this software. Options trading carries substantial risk of loss. You can lose the entire premium you collect on a position, and in some configurations you can lose significantly more. Past behavior of any strategy is not a guarantee of future results.
I am not a registered investment advisor. Nothing on this site or inside the ACondor dashboard constitutes investment advice. You are solely responsible for your own trading decisions and for any losses incurred.
By using ACondor, you acknowledge that you understand options trading risk and that you are using this software at your own risk.
What ACondor is
ACondor is a mechanical options premium-selling bot built for tastytrade accounts. It runs iron condors, earnings IV-crush trades, volatility contraction plays, and directional spreads, automatically, with defined risk on every position, according to rules that never change based on how the market feels that day. Every engine, every exit rule, every setting is documented and configurable. Nothing is hidden. The bot does exactly what the docs say it does, every cycle, whether the market is calm or in free fall.
Where the name comes from
ACondor is two things stitched together. “Condor” is for the iron condor, the defined-risk structure the whole strategy is built around. The “A” is for my daughter Ariel, a nickname her younger brother gave her when she was little, and it stuck for good. I wanted the name to carry both: the strategy I trust and someone I love.
About Robin Lilly
Software Architect. 40+ years trading options.
I have been trading options for more than 40 years. I know what it feels like to watch a position go against you and tell yourself it will come back. I know the specific pain of holding a loser past every logical exit because closing it means admitting you were wrong. I have let winners run too long and watched them turn into losers. I have made every emotional mistake options traders make, repeatedly, across four decades.
I am also a software architect by profession. I have spent my career building systems that execute rules consistently, without hesitation, without emotion. At some point the obvious question became unavoidable: why was I trading any other way?
ACondor is the answer I built for myself. Not for a fund, not for clients. For me. A system that executes the exit at 50% of max profit whether I feel like taking it or not. A system that closes at 21 DTE whether the position looks promising or not. A system that halts new entries when VIX spikes whether I think the spike is overblown or not. Rules in, rules out. Every time.
I built it because I needed it. If you have traded options for any length of time and you recognize any of those mistakes, you probably need it too.
The philosophy behind it
Tastytrade's mechanical premium-selling approach gave me the framework: sell elevated implied volatility, manage winners early, keep positions small, trade often, stay defined-risk. I had been applying it by hand for years with reasonable results, when I followed the rules. The problem was always when I did not.
The bot does not have opinions. It does not get tired. It does not decide that this time the position is different. It reads the rules, checks the gates, and acts. That is the entire point.
