Directional Engine: Max Positions
What it does
A hard ceiling on the number of simultaneously open directional positions. Because directional trades are higher-risk and lower-win-rate, bounding them by count is a second line of defense alongside the allocation cap. Leave blank for no engine-level count cap: only the global max concurrent positions applies.
When to change it
Set this if you want a hard count limit on directional exposure independent of the allocation percentage cap, useful while you are still validating the engine's live performance.
Safe range
Leave blank for no cap, or set 1-3 to keep directional risk tightly bounded.
Example
Set to 2 → the directional engine holds at most 2 positions at once, capping directional risk regardless of remaining capital.
