Max Weekly Loss Dollars
What it does
Weekly P&L floor in dollars. When cumulative loss for the rolling 7-day window crosses this level, new entries halt for the rest of that window. This is a rolling 7 calendar days, not the current calendar week, so a Monday-Friday losing run halts on that Friday rather than waiting for the week to reset. When the oldest losses age out of the window, entries can resume.
When to change it
Set to roughly 3x your daily loss limit to give the week room while still having a backstop.
Safe range
Any negative dollar value larger (more negative) than your daily loss limit.
Example
Daily limit -$500, weekly limit -$1,500. Three -$400 days in a row = -$1,200 cumulative, below the weekly limit, entries continue. A fourth -$400 day pushes to -$1,600 and triggers the weekly halt.
