Auto-Screener Universe Cap
What it does
Caps how many symbols the daily automatic screener keeps after the IV rank and liquidity filters have run, ranked highest IV rank first. This bounds scan cost no matter how many source watchlists you union together.
When to change it
Raise it if you union many watchlists and want deeper coverage of the qualifying names. Lower it to cut scan time and API load. Because the cut is ranked by IV rank, lowering it keeps the highest IV rank names and drops the marginal ones.
Safe range
100 to 500. Below 100 you may cut off qualifying names in an active volatility regime. Above 500 scan time grows with little practical gain.
Example
Set to 250 and even if 800 names pass the IV rank and liquidity filters, only the top 250 by IV rank are kept.
