What it does

API key for the TradingNews real-time news stream. The news gate subscribes to a live WebSocket feed of financial headlines filtered by the symbols in your universe. Without this key, the news gate has no headline feed and will not function. The key authenticates the WebSocket handshake on connection.

When to change it

Set once when you enable the news gate. If you rotate your TradingNews subscription key, update this field and restart the bot.

Safe range

Never share. Treat as a secret.

Obtain at your TradingNews account dashboard under API Access. Paste the key into the TradingNews API Key field on the Accounts tab.
